Reba has over thirty years of experience in sales and use tax. Her experience includes:
- Public Accounting - Director of State and Local Tax for a national accounting firm.
- Industry - Director of State Tax for a national retailer. She was responsible for sales and property tax compliance for 800 locations in the US and Canada.
- State Revenue Agency – State tax auditor, completing numerous audits including more than 25 of the Fortune 500.
Reba’s work experience in these sectors gives her a unique perspective when approaching each client's tax situation and allows her to offer practical solutions.
Pennington Consulting clients include diverse industries. Client service is the first and highest priority. Over the years, Reba has saved her clients millions of dollars by properly managing and defending their sales tax positions, providing measurable benefit and adding immediate value.
Reba is a graduate of the University of Alabama with post-graduate studies at the University of Texas-Dallas. She is an active member of the Institute of Professionals in Taxation (IPT), an organization committed to maintaining a code of ethics and guidelines for administering state and local taxes. She obtained the CMI certification in 1997 and served on the Atlanta IPT Program Committee for 12 years.
Reba is a sustaining member of the Atlanta Junior League, an educational and charitable organization committed to developing the potential of women and improving communities through volunteering.
